Avignon is located in the south of France, about one hour away from Montpellier and 30 minutes away from Nîmes by car. In the past, the two banks of the Rhône were linked by the Pont Saint Bénézet, better known as the “Pont d’Avignon”, a real historical monument of the city, also made famous by the song dedicated to it: “sur le Pont d’Avignon”. Avignon is full of history and full of life. Travel back in time at the Palace of the Papes, dance on the Pont d’Avignon and see the treasures of the Petit Palais museum.
